We love candies. This is an undeniable fact. Few people in the world sincerely declare that they do not like them. The producers offer countless flavors of these sweets.

Candy – what is it exactly?

Candies are a popular confectionery with a variety of colors, flavors, and shapes. They are made from a concentrated solution of sugar in water with the addition of flavors, dyes and other preservatives that have the final effect on the final appearance of the candy. Their diversity means that everyone will find their favorite type of these sweets. The most popular candy flavors are sweet, sour, fruity, mint and coffee. The name “candies” comes from the word “sugar”, which is the basic raw material of these sweets.

Candies are made by dissolving sugar in water or milk to the consistency of a syrup, which is then boiled until the desired concentration is reached. Then, various dyes and flavors are added to this mass. Candies are made by dissolving sugar in water or milk. Gummies

Gummy Bears. Invented in Germany in early 1900s. Sweet flavored gelatin, in many different colors and shapes. The most popular, no doubt the one and only – Gummy Bear! But, oh there is so much more: worms, Swedish fish, fruit rings…etc.

Cotton Candy

Unofficial fan favorite of all county Fires. Ball of delicate fluff on the stick. In olden days only white, now brightly colored, and sometimes with added flavor.

Jelly beans

gelatin-based, chewy candies of various shapes, colors, and flavors; inside they can be filled with liquid syrup. They are made by combining gelatin with an aerated solution of sugar and glucose syrup.

Candy Pearls

Looking as classy and sophisticated as their name. Will be a star decoration (fully edible) of your party candy buffet. They come in many different sizes. The small one, are used in decorating cookies, cakes, and cupcakes, while the larger (the real size), are perfect on their own. Traditionally in soft pastel colors, with an extra shine on them.

Hard Candy

made of a smooth mass of a condensed sugar solution with the addition of dyes and flavors. They are characterized by the fact that they slowly dissolve in the mouth. We commonly call them They can have different flavors depending on the syrups used in their production.

Gumdrop Candy

sweet, classic treat with the chew of gumdrop candy. Usually thick, sticking to your teeth, jelly like consistency inside. Often coated in granulated sugar, mini candies, or in sour powder. Shaped like a narrow dome, sometimes with a flattened top.  Most popular are: DOTS and Jelly Belly Raspberries and Blackberries.

Licorice is a semi-soft candy, often black with a licorice flavor or red and strawberry or cherry flavors. There are only to ways: or you will love them, or you will hate them. I, personally cannot stand them; my Brother loves them!

Powder candies

 made of pressed powdered sugar with the addition of appropriate dyes and flavors. These are sweets that many people associate with their childhood. It is not only a great taste, but also unforgettable shapes – powdered candies in the shape of bracelets or watches are constantly available in online stores! They achieved their greatest popularity in the 90s. These mini candies with a hard shell were loved by millions. The popular Skittles or M7M’s cannot be overlooked here

Bon Bons

May as well contain brittle, nougat, dragée, or caramel. In the Western world, bonbons are generally small candies, but can vary by region in their ingredients, flavors, and shape. Other types of fillings include butterscotch, fondant, fudge, ganache, gianduja, marzipan, praline, and truffle.

Circus Peanut Candy

Once available in five-and-dime stores alongside other varieties of penny candy, marshmallow circus peanuts are a nostalgic treat that will take you back to a simpler time. While traditional orange-colored and banana-flavored circus peanuts candy remain the most popular, there are other colors and flavors to choose from as well. Soft and chewy, these fun sweets are sure to be a hit with everyone!

Fizzy Candy

These innovative treats deliver an entirely new sensation to your snacking experience, with sweets that pop and crackle right in your mouth! Usually comes in small sachet or container, and mixed with saliva in your mouth, the flavor explosion happens.  Sometimes the fizz, is surrounded by the layer of hard candy.

Nougat Candy

Nougat comes from a family of sweets made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts, whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is extra chewy. There are many Nougat candies, stuffed with nut. It is also popular type of feeling, that it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates, like Mars chocolate Bar, for example.

Candy Sticks

Candy sticks are a traditional treat that has been a favorite among generations of kids and adults alike. Available in a range of colors and flavors, such as root beer, sassafras, horehound, cinnamon, butterscotch, piña colada, clove, spearmint, licorice, bubble gum, cotton candy, and checkerberry. Of course, the most known, are the peppermint, white and red Candy Canes.

Fruit Drops

Not reserved only for older ladies, sitting on the porch.  Hard candies sometimes decorated. Always come in characteristic tin can or glass jar. They can be all the same flavor, or each one in different one.

Malt Balls

The history of these snacks dates all the way back to 1887. Nowadays, recognized as a retro candy, but still immensely likable and recognizable. Delicious, malted milk center coated in shiny milk chocolate.  The bring them back, they are offered in many innovative and seasonal flavors and colors combinations.

Jawbreaker Candy

These hard, sugary creations are a timeless classic. The large balls (sometimes in the size of Tennis ball) showcase layer after layer of rock-hard flavor. Often, each layer is made of different color, and different flavored sugar.  They are without doubt to hard, to bite, without risking the wellbeing of your teeth, and that give the candy its scary name.

Lollipops & Suckers

Historians believe that ancient civilizations including Chinese, Arabs, and Egyptians all created sweetened fruits that they would preserve on sticks. Unfortunately, the modern day Lollies do not have such a long history.  Created somewhere on the beginning of 20th century, today comes in great variety of shapes, sizes, flavors, and colors.

Rock Candy

sugar candy, also called rock sugar, or crystal sugar, is a type of sweets created from relatively large sugar crystals. They are usual on the small wooden sticks. In many cultures rock candy, is traditional addition to drinking Tea, then the sugar is pure, without any other colors or flavors. Nevertheless, ss a candy, you can get them: Purple, Blue, Pink, Red, Pure White, or Black. Each stick has its own flavor, including Watermelon, Grape, Cotton Candy, Blue Raspberry, and more!

Taffy

this chewy and delicious treat may date back to the early 19th Century. It was first creates, here in the United States. Made by stretching or pulling a sticky mass of boiled sugar, butter or vegetable oil, flavorings, and colorings, until it becomes aerated, resulting in a light, fluffy and chewy candy. Comes in many different colors and flavors.

Marshmallows

Produced in Ancient Egypt, over 4000 years ago, as a sweet food for the gods, and Royalty. Immensely popular type of confectionery that is typically made from sugar, water and gelatin whipped to a solid but soft consistency. It is used as a filling in baking, or commonly molded into shapes and coated with corn starch. Comes snowy white, or in soft light colors. Perfect for making S’more dessert.
